About Us
First of all, we think McKinney /
Collin County is a remarkable place to live, work, and play.
McKinney is a beautiful area with all the hills and trees. We
(Sammy and Debbie) moved to this area from another area of Dallas…a
commuter suburb. Although we lived there for 15 years, we
never really felt at “home” there. We both grew up in The
Panhandle of Texas and were used to a “community” feel. We
felt that sense of belonging to a “community” was difficult to
achieve…until moving to this area. We thoroughly enjoy seeing
friends at the grocery store, on the golf course, working out,
walking the dog, at church, and even on the side of the road.
We enjoy the businesses, the parks, the sports, the restaurants, the
Chamber, the unique communities, the schools, the awesome builders,
the shopping, the art, the short distance to lakes, the kids, and
the leadership of this great city.
Why The McKinney Home
Center? Quite simply, our desire is to absolutely
maximize your real estate encounter as a resident or perspective
resident of McKinney. As owner of H5 Financial, Inc., I have
encountered far too many people who receive bad advice with respect
to their real estate transactions. Although there are many great
lenders, Realtors®, and builders in McKinney, it is all too easy to
assume you are working with one...when in fact, you are not.
What makes matter worse is that people often never know the depth of
incompetence of their selected “professionals,” even after the
transaction. They were unaware of the creative options and
benefits that could have enhanced their experience and their

bad experience at the grocery store or in the mall because you make
frequent transactions there. However, with real estate, it’s

I named our mortgage company H5
Financial, Inc. The “H5” stands for “High Five”. Why?
Before becoming involved in Real Estate, I talked with many of my
friends as they were preparing to “close” on a home. I would
often tell them to remain flexible. I told them that it was
rare when closings were not bizarre, full of changes, and full of
stress. When I became involved in the lending business, my goal
was to create systems that eliminated stress at closings. In
the beginning, it was very difficult to reach this goal. There
were so many variables, and we had not yet established the right
relationships with professionals that knew what it meant to put the
client first. However, over time, we became so efficient that
we started seeing the”mission accomplished.” At closings we
began noticing that people would “High Five” each other. Our
clients were laughing and light-hearted. One 4 year old boy
stood right in front of me (after closing) and said to his dad,
“give me a High Five Daddy.” This confirmed the name of our
mortgage company…H5 Financial.
Closing with the right loan at the
right time with the right rate is just one component.
